Flamenco for Children!

When: Thursday after schools

This course is an art form based in a Spanish dance from Andalusia. Children are going to learn a Flamenco choreography with basic steps. They are going to explore the use of different parts of the body in Flamenco dance.

During the course children will have fun, learn about a new culture and dance some Flamenco steps. They will develop motor skills, coordination, rhythm and musical abilities. They will also improve their posture, confidence and dance aptitude. Overall, they will become familiar with Spanish Language, picking up some words while they are dancing.

Body balance and posture

Arm and hand technique

Hip movements and spinning exercises.

Palmas (clapping and rhythm)

Basic foot work and a choreography

Thursdays 4.15 - 5pm    £3.50 per session
