Ballroom Dancing for Beginners
When: Fridays 7-8pm

Ballroom dancing is many things to many people, from nervous newly-weds sharing their first waltz, to the glamour and glitz of 'Strictly Come Dancing'. Whether you want to add a little glamour to your own life, to share the fun of dancing with your friends, or to exercise body and mind in a gentle yet thorough way, ballroom dancing has something for you.
What will the course entail?
In this month-long course you will learn the basic steps of the waltz, the rhythm foxtrot, the cha cha cha, and the swing. By the end of the course you'll be able to dance confidently to almost any music, and will be ready to progress to fancier steps (and dances) should you wish. The pace is easy - you'll never feel left behind - but you'll find that in the end you'll learn more than you thought!
Who is this course for?
Anybody! Age is no barrier - if you can walk, you can dance! The course is designed for absolute beginners, but if you've danced before you'll still learn something new to help you improve or master those trickier steps.
About the teacher
Russell Comrie has danced and taught dancing for more than 10 years. A teacher with international experience, he has taught everyone from beginners to advanced competitors. "The key to being a good dancer," he says, "is to enjoy what you're doing. That's my belief, and that is the principle that governs the way I teach. If you're having fun, the rest is easy."
