Songbox

When: Friday Mornings

Song Box is a local independent musical play activity, serving York families since 1994. We offer small friendly sessions for 0-4 year olds and their parents/carers in many venues all over York. In our groups siblings can come to the same session. The price is per family, not per child.

Our one hour sessions are carefully structured to introduce children and adults to all the fun of live musical play and the great benefits it can offer to children's physical, social, emotional, language and cognitive development. Song Box's founder, Thea Jacob,
MA(Oxon) , also provides musical play training and workshops for City of York Council and other training providers in and around York.

As well as our regular weekly sessions we have visits from musicians showing the children many types of instruments and we provide unique musical outings to many local attractions. Our sessions encourage families to enjoy music and singing where ever they are.
