Stretch and Strengthen class' at Northern Dance Academy fundamental objective is to increase strength and flexibility to support our students' technical training. In this class, we useTherabandsfor dynamic stretching and body conditioning exercises specific to developing core stability and muscle strength for dance. Flexibility is an essential element of dance training and is extremely important that dancers simultaneously develop their strength to manage this flexibility in order to prevent injuries. The combination of flexibility and strength exercises in this class enables students to prepare their bodies for the demands that are put on them during technique classes.
