Homeopathy Certificate Level 3

When: Thursday mornings

This course offers an introduction to the philosophy behind homeopathic medicine; the principles of health and disease, how remedies work and their indications for use in everyday common ailments. We will cover remedies for coughs and colds, sore throats, headaches and other viral illnesses: first aid and emergency situations including shock, trauma and allergic reactions. The sessions are also tailored to the needs of the group e.g. children’s remedies, women’s problems like PMT and the menopause, stress-related illness, dentistry, recovery from illness or surgical procedures. All sessions are lecture-based with handouts provided. The students are encouraged to practice case taking and prescribing at home with class discussion of cases and individual help given as required.

Course progression to a higher level is available for those who wish to continue on to further study.

By the end of the course you should be able to...

1. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the homeopathic philosophy of health and disease and the body’s ability to cure itself.

2. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the principles of homeopathic medicine and how remedies are made.

3. Identify at least 20 homeopathic remedies and their indications for use.

4. Differentiate between commonly indicated remedies for specific conditions.

5. Use different potencies for differing age groups, illness and first aid-situations with confidence.

6. Assess and prescribe for most minor ailments for friends and family with confidence
