Russell Comrie

Russell Comrie is a dance teacher from South Africa, recently arrived in York. He brings with him more than 10 years international experience teaching dancers of all ages and abilities in the Ballroom and Latin-&-American styles.

Having begun his career as a competitor on the South African circuit, he moved on to teaching. He has trained many high-level competitive dancers, but his first love is the teaching of beginners and keen amateurs.

Russell has trained with top professionals in both South Africa and London, including Robin Sewell and Alison Lamb (former World Champion and current International Adjudicator). He has also choreographed for numerous demonstrations and stage shows.
