Guillermo Davis 'el Iyawo' is a professional Cuban dance teacher recently arrived in York.
He brings quality Salsa dance teaching from the birthplace of salsa as well its roots in Afro-Cuban dance and dances from Cuba's rich popular dance culture.
Classified as a first class dance teacher in Cuba Guillermo work with adults, children, amatuers and professionals.
He has taught at WOMAD festival, the Royal Festival Hall, with regional dance groups, with Arts Council creative partnerships and many other UK groups.
He leads a UK carnival group ¡SIÁA-KARÁAA! Cuban Comparsa (expect to take part in this in York) and a professional performing dance group.
He was a principal dancer in Danza Libre Company, Cuba and taught in the company academy.
